Big challenge ahead of Buhari

A chieftain of the PDP in the FCT has said President Muhammadu Buhari will find it difficult to win re-election because the ruling APC is committing the same blunders PDP committed in 2015.

Alhaji Abubakar Sidi, a former PDP Campaign Coordinator for ex- President Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation, said the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, had better chances than Buhari.

“Buhari contested four times and lost, while Atiku contested five times. Goodluck Jonathan insisted he will re-contest in 2015 and he lost, now Buhari is insisting he will re-contest. Therefore, for sure, Buhari will lose the election because history will repeat itself,” he said. Alhaji Sidi said PDP had learnt from its 2015 mistakes, saying the opposition party had put all the machinery in place to right the wrongs its leaders committed in the past.

He added that the recently conducted Port Harcourt PDP primary was the most peaceful primary ever because 12 aspirants vied for the ticket but the Atiku won in what he called “free and fair contest.”
